On a recent destination wedding at the Ritz-Carlton in San Juan, the day after their wedding, the bride and groom found a bottle on the beach. Inside the bottle were 2 scrolled messages from another bride and groom. How great is that! I’ve shot a lot of destination weddings, so I’ve seen couples hurl bottled messages out into the surf before, but this is the first time I’ve been with a destination wedding couple that found one. Traveling in Morocco makes my heart beat just a bit faster. I love the arched doorways, the mysterious riads, Moorish architecture and interiors, the people, and of course the shopping! After shooting Rita and Bruno’s beautiful destination wedding in Marrakech, I rented a car and headed south in the direction of Algeria. Driving through the small Berber villages doting the ascent through the Atlas Mountains, I felt like Prince Husain in “One Thousand and One Nights,” riding a magic carpet through the clouds and down into the warm orange desert below.
