What a great pleasure it was to be the event photographer for Yves-Andre Istel’s French Legion d’Honneur induction ceremony and dinner at the French Consulate in NYC and the French Institute Alliance Francaise. Msr. Istel’s induction ceremony was intimate and warm, certainly one of the most interesting people and events I’ve photographed. Yves’ wife Kathleen chose New York’s elite French catering team of Jean Christophe Le Picart and Michelin rated Chef Daniel Boulud at Feast & Fetes to handle food, service, and table decor for the elegant dinner which followed. The following day I photographed the family’s brunch with the French Consul General …

Recently I had the pleasure of working with one of Central Asia’s leading fashion and lifestyle magazines, Boulevard. I photographed top model Polina Protodyakonova for the magazine’s editorial pages. We shot beauty/swimwear on the beach in West Hampton and it was a lot of fun! The magazine wrote a nice profile on me and my work in the following issue. I don’t read Russian either but from what my Russian speaking friends tell me it was a pretty cool. I love shooting beauty photography, and I hope it shows in my images. Thank you Boulevard Magazine!

Recently the Picasso family acquired a portfolio of my fine art photography work, making 7 large format prints which adorn the walls of their family home in Normandy. I had the privilege of supervising the printing and installation of these images at Le Chateau Villers. This is truly one of the most exciting and humbling moments in my photographic career and I wanted to share it with my clients and community. Thank you Olivier and Diana Picasso!

Ever since the Picasso family began collecting my fine art photography Olivier Picasso and I have become dear friends. One of Pablo Picasso’s 2 grandsons, Olivier is a lawyer, television personality, and producer. He also manages all of the licensing of the Picasso name and, along with his sister Diana, oversees every important exhibition of his grandfather’s work worldwide. Olivier is not only a wonderful human being, he’s also an incredible host with a wicked sense of humor. So I was truly excited when he asked me to photograph his author’s portrait for his new book (his 2nd) about his grandfather …

Working in Paris, Milan, Rome, London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York, I’ve had the honor of collaborating with some of the best talents in the wedding, event and hospitality businesses. In particular there is a vendor whose taste, quality, class and professionalism have risen above the rest. This is why I’m so proud to announce my collaboration with New York City’s top catering team Jean Christophe Le Picart and world renowned Michelin-rated chef Daniel Boulud at New York City’s one and only Feast and Fetes Catering. Jean Christophe and I both agree…Studio JLK Weddings and Feast And Fetes catering make …

Talk about a power couple, Amy and Vin’s New York City wedding at the Harold Pratt House was a who’s who of D.C. political heavyweights, Hollywood celebrities and international socialites, which explains the 5 Secret Service agents who supervised the evening’s events. Passionate philanthropists to boot, the dynamic duo are also key organizer’s in A.M.F.A.R.’s global fundraising initiatives. One of the event’s many highlights was a heartfelt and emotional toast by one of Vin’s closest friends, Academy Award winning actress Sharon Stone. I always feel lucky to capture the moments that tell the story of a couple’s unforgettable wedding day. One …

Like mother like son…Matteo and Marta Marzotto. The Marzotto family is one of the most influential families in art, fashion and luxury. I met Matteo and his lovely mother Marta on several occasions through my association with the House of Valentino. At that time Matteo was the president of Valentino S.p.A.. Marta started as a seamstress and went on to become a couture model for the Aguzzi sisters of Milano. Some years later she met Count Umberto Marzotto and they married. The rest is a wonderfully complicated and intriguing history, but the Marzotto family continues to be a force in …

I captured this romantic Central Park engagement photography session with Karen and Matt at one on New York City’s best wedding venues, the Loeb Boathouse. A Loeb Boathouse engagement photography session is always special, it’s just that great a venue. Inside there’s soft light filtering in from the charming lake outside. Adding some reflector and a touch of flash to fill in the shadows, the couple looked incredible. Outside you have trees and rocks that line the lake, rowboats, shady oak trees and much more. There are so many gorgeous settings and backdrops. Karen told me, “Just an FYI…Matt REALLY doesn’t like having …

My good friend Charlene invited me to Giancarlo’s book signing at Assouline for his new book “Private.” It was great seeing her and the whole Valentino family! I hadn’t seen them all together in one place for years. I joined Charlene, her gorgeous sons Anthony and Sean, Bruce, Valentino and Giancarlo at the signing and it was packed. Private is an incredible testament to Giancarlo and Valentino’s life, work, friends, and legacy. Amazing book. After Assouline a small group of us returned to Giancarlo’s elegant penthouse apartment on New York’s upper east side for cocktails and dinner. Dinner was delicious as …
