Images of the wedding details are the unsung heroes of every wedding album we create. They make excellent transition images, ending one theme and beginning another. They’re also wonderful at slowing the pace. Weddings can move pretty fast, and a good wedding photographer will usually exaggerate that feeling of expectation and movement through his creative camerawork and editing. So the wedding details imagery, when skillfully placed in a couple’s wedding album, slow down the cadence as the viewer studies the fine details of the close up images. Also, wedding days move so quickly, and often in the rush of events, …

Erika and Mike’s Crest Hollow Country Club summer wedding, in the rolling hills of Woodbury NY, was picture perfect. The couple was wonderfully relaxed and confident, which really allowed their personalities shine in their wedding photos and video. Talk about high energy, these two danced until the very last moment, throwing in some 80’s hair band air guitar moves throughout the night. Definitely a fun couple to share such a special day with! A Crest Hollow Country Club wedding is always seamless, something this New York wedding photographer really appreciates. The Long Island wedding venue’s coordinators and caterers are top notch and supremely …

Jacky and Trev chose The Pierre, one of our favorite venues, for their elegant black-tie New York City wedding cocktail and reception. It’s always inspiring to photograph a lucky couple’s Pierre Hotel Wedding. The art deco architecture and interiors alone have made The Pierre of of the city’s landmark architectural achievements. The hallways are luscious, adorned with so many wonderful design details. Of course the hotel’s main ballroom has some of the most incredible crystal chandeliers we’ve seen. Very chic! This gorgeous couple’s New York City black-tie wedding reception was Pierre perfection! It should also be mentioned that the couple …

Melissa and David chose Newport Rhode Island for their destination wedding weekend. The town’s historic mansions and hotels make ideal wedding venues, with The Chanler being one of the best of the bunch. Clouds and light drizzle forced the ceremony from the lawn to the shelter of the hotel’s covered terrace, the soft exterior light providing a wonderfully dreamy back-lit effect to the ceremony photos. The beauty of the venue alone makes a Chanler Hotel wedding unique, but it’s the flexibility of the venue, in this case coming up with a viable Plan-B for rain, that wedding couples truly appreciate. This also …

There is an old adage that says, “When you love your job you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” I couldn’t agree more! Weddings are so much fun, and while the wedding photographer is usually the one in the room whose sweating the most (in my black tie and suit thank you very much,) he or she also has the privilege of engaging every person at the wedding. What a privilege. There are always so many interesting personalities to discover and make personal connections with, and of course so many beautiful moments waiting to be captured. I …

I can’t tell you how much I adore this charming Long Island wedding at The Old Field Club. Sarah and Randy finish each other’s sentences (I counted 4 times,) and seem to know exactly what the other is thinking and feeling at every moment. Randy is a top cop and most of his groomsmen are Navy Seals and some of New York’s finest law enforcement officers. Truly the best of the best. But what a relaxed and funny group of guys! Their antics kept me and my assistants laughing all day. Sarah was such a joy to work with, she was just cool …

In this day of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and the myriad of social media outlets, fewer and fewer people are choosing the magic and the staying power of printed media. I think that’s a shame. These digital resources have their place and have made “sharing” of images easy and efficient, but when it comes to one of your life’s most defining moments, there’s no substitute for a beautifully framed print, or an artfully executed wedding or event album. Framed prints and wedding albums are still the best way to share such a special day. Think about it, how often will people …

NYC movers and shakers Kate & Rick wanted their black tie Newport destination wedding weekend to allow them and their guests a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City for the classic beauty and tranquility of Newport’s premiere wedding venue, The Castle Hill Inn. This was my first time shooting a destination wedding at The Castle Hill Inn, and it’s always inspiring to work in new places. The couple planned an outdoor service on the inn’s lush lawn overlooking the water, with the reception and dinner taking place under the venue’s beautiful beige tent, but rainy skies …

Nothing says Hollywood glamour like a black tie wedding and private dinner for 60 in your gorgeous hillside Los Angeles home, followed by a wicked after party in the Chateau Marmont’s best suite, Room 64. Meghan & Marc’s beautiful 60’s era architectural home was the venue for this intimate and warm Los Angeles black tie wedding. Wedding planner to the stars Michael Habicht from Affairs By Michael replaced Meghan and Marc’s furniture with rows of long elegant candle-lit banquet tables with the couple’s table 1 on their terrace overlooking the city below. Using old books, urns, various neo-classic antiquities and curiosities Michael created a …

We had a lot of fun at this Loeb Boathouse Wedding! Childhood sweethearts, Karen and Matt finally decided to make it official with a November black tie wedding at one of New York City’s best venues, Central Park’s Loeb Boathouse. Many of Karen’s family flew in from Peru for their New York City Wedding and I can promise you, with certainty, the Peruvians know how to party! Add Peru to my bucket list. The ceremony at the beautiful Loeb Boathouse was an exercise in elegance and the dancing that followed was pushed to it’s absolute limit by the driving beats and …
