Destination Wedding At The Castle Hill Inn Newport

NYC movers and shakers Kate & Rick wanted their black tie Newport destination wedding weekend to allow them and their guests a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City for the classic beauty and tranquility of Newport’s premiere wedding venue, The Castle Hill Inn. This was my first time shooting a destination wedding at The Castle Hill Inn, and it’s always inspiring to work in new places. The couple planned an outdoor service on the inn’s lush lawn overlooking the water, with the reception and dinner taking place under the venue’s beautiful beige tent, but rainy skies prevailed and the decision was made to have the service under the tent’s roof as well. One of the great things about having a destination wedding at The Castle Hill Inn is the flexibility a couple has if the weather turns for the worst. The sides of the tent are all open and the light that spills in is soft and beautiful, even on a rainy day. Eventually the rain stopped and the cocktail party spilled out onto the Castle Hill’s expansive lawn. The dinner began at dusk and ended with a hilarious dance-off after midnight. Good times!!

    • Thank you Fotograf Gdansk! Btw…I worked and traveled in Gdansk and the tri-city area some years back, really beautiful over there. Love the WWII war memorials and the people were very nice.
