This handsome jet-set couple wanted their NYC engagement photography session to be something to remember, so they retraced their steps from their first trip to New York City together and I snapped photos along the way. We began at The Mark Hotel, shooting in the landmark hotel’s gorgeous black and white lobby as well as on the street next to the hotel where the couple had their first kiss. Very romantic! Next we walked up to Central Park and followed in the footsteps of their first stroll together, eventually ending up at the Loeb Boathouse where the couple boarded a rowboat for a sunset paddle around the lake. Heidi worked as a model back in the day, so she was very comfortable in front of the camera. Russell was a bit nervous about his nyc engagement photography session in the beginning, but after a few minutes holding hands, joking with and kissing the love of his life he really came into his own and started having fun! At the end of the day, when engagement couples “get out of their heads” and focus on one another…great images are the result. My role on a NYC engagement photography session is to keep my couples focused on each other which really allows the magic to happen.
A few months after their NYC engagement photography session I was privileged to capture the couple’s stunning summer destination wedding at one of San Diego’s top wedding venues, Rancho Valencia. Here’s a link to that series…enjoy!
